Special Issue on Esophageal Cancer

Esophageal cancer is cancer arising from the esophagus—the food pipe that runs between the throat and the stomach. Symptoms often include difficulty in swallowing and weight loss. Other symptoms may include pain when swallowing, a hoarse voice, enlarged lymph nodes around the collarbone, a dry cough, and possibly coughing up or vomiting blood.


We sincerely welcome scholar and expert with relative academic backgrounds to submit original research paper or review paper to this special issue on Esophageal Cancer. Potential topics or areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Risk factors, diagnosis and treatment
  • Esophageal adenocarcinoma
  • Gastroesophageal cancer
  • Chemotherapy and radiotherapy
  • Esophagectomy for esophageal cancer
