Special Issue on Psychological Trauma

Psychological trauma is a type of damage to the mind that occurs after a distressing or life-threatening event that shatters our sense of security, making us feel helpless in certain situations. Any situation that leaves us feeling overwhelmed and isolated can be traumatic, even if it doesn’t involve physical harm. People often react differently to similar events according to their subjective experiences and ability to cope with the emotions.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Psychological Trauma.

Psychological trauma can result from events like:

  • Natural disasters (earthquakes, fires, floods, hurricanes, etc.)
  • Physical assault (rape, incest, molestation, domestic abuse, etc.)
  • Serious bodily harm
  • Serious accidents such as automobile or other high-impact scenarios
  • Experiencing or witnessing horrific injury, carnage or fatalities

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Psychological Trauma” should be selected during your submission.
