Special Issue on Livestock

Livestock are domesticated animals raised in an agricultural setting to produce commodities such as food, fiber, and labor. The breeding, maintenance, and slaughter of these animals, known as animal husbandry, is a component of modern agriculture that has been practiced in many cultures since humanity's transition to farming from hunter-gatherer lifestyles. Livestock production continues to play a major economic and cultural role in numerous rural communities.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring livestock. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Animal rearing
  • Farming practices
  • Livestock diseases
  • Livestock transportation and marketing
  • Animal welfare
  • Environmental effects of meat production
  • Economic and social benefits

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Livestock” should be selected during your submission.
