Special Issue on Microeconomics

Microeconomics is a branch of economics that analyzes the market behavior of individuals and firms in an attempt to understand the decision-making process of firms and households. It aims to analyze the market mechanisms that establish relative prices among goods and services and allocate limited resources among alternative uses as well as market failure, where markets fail to produce efficient results, and describes the theoretical conditions needed for perfect competition.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Microeconomics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Consumer and producer surplus

  • Labor economics
  • Market structure
  • Measurement of elasticities
  • Monopoly
  • Oligopoly
