Special Issue on

 Impacts of Climate Change on Water Resources

Water resources are important to both society and ecosystems. We depend on a reliable, clean supply of drinking water to sustain our health. We also need water for agriculture, energy production, navigation, recreation, and manufacturing. Many of these uses put pressure on water resources, stresses that are likely to be exacerbated by climate change. In many areas, climate change is likely to increasewater demand while shrinking water supplies. This shifting balance would challenge water managers to simultaneously meet the needs of growing communities, sensitive ecosystems, farmers, ranchers, energy producers, and manufacturers.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore impacts of climate change on water resources. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Changes in the balance between snow and rain
• Water disasters
• Climate change and European water policies
• The hydrological cycle
• Global climate change and precipitation
• Global climate change and water resources
• Coping with changing water resources

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly note that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title should be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Impacts of Climate Change on Water Resources” should be selected during your submission.
