Special Issue on Acupuncture Techniques
Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific acupuncture points along
the skin of the body. Traditional acupuncture involves needle insertion,
moxibustion and cupping therapy which is a form of alternative medicine and a
key component of traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture aims to treat a
range of conditions, such as heat, pressure and pain. It is rarely used alone
but rather as an adjunct to other treatment modalities. As Acupuncture Techniques play an important role in Chinese medicine, further research on
application and efficacy is of great necessity and value.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring acupuncture techniques. Potential
topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Clinical practice
-
Needling technique
-
Acupuncture points
-
Safety and adverse events
-
Chinese medicine
-
Other alternative medicine
