Special Issue on Antibiotic Resistance
Antibiotic resistance is a serious and growing phenomenon in contemporary medicine and
has become one of the pre-eminent public health concerns nowadays. Some bacterial
species are able to survive after exposure to one or more antibiotics. Any use of antibiotics can increase
selective pressure in bacteria and make the resistant bacteria thrive and susceptible
bacteria die. As resistance towards antibiotics becomes more common, a greater
need for alternative treatments increases. However, the number of newly
approved drugs keeps decline, and antibiotic resistance therefore poses a
significant problem.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers
and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring antibiotic resistance. Potential topics
include, but are not limited to:
-
Antibiotic resistance
-
Common antibiotics
-
Resistant pathogens(superbugs)
-
Veterinary medicine
-
Environmental impact
-
Regulation of antibiotic use
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Antibiotic resistance” should be
chosen during your submission.
