Special Issue on Photonics and Lasers in Medicine
Lasers and Photonics have made considerable progress in medicine for a wide range of applications. The development and use of lasers and light in medicine and biology have had a profound impact in our understanding of disease, in our ability to detect disease, and our ability to treat disease. Innovative optical microscopy and imaging tools have enabled biologists and medical scientists to fundamentally investigate the cellular and molecular changes that occur in diseases such as cancer, heart disease, inflammation, and infection, among many others. As one of most innovative technology in science, photonics and lasers in medicine are of great attractions to researchers.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring photonics and lasers in medicine. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Photonics in personalized medicine
-
Lasers and light in medicine
-
Topical problems of biophotonics
-
Photodynamic diagnosis
-
Photonics and lasers in therapy of vascular lesions
-
Photonics and lasers for maxillofacial surgery
-
Optical microscopy and imaging tools in medicine
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Photonics and Lasers in Medicine” should be chosen during your submission.
