Special Issue on Water Pollution and Water Quality
Water Pollution is a major global problem which requires ongoing evaluation and revision of water resource policy at all levels. It is one of the main sources of worldwide deaths and diseases. In the most recent national report on water quality in the United State, 45 percent of assessed stream miles, 47 percent of assessed lake acres, and 32 percent of assessed bays and estuarine square miles were classified as polluted. Water is typically referred to as polluted when it is impaired by anthropogenic contaminants and either does not support a human use, such as drinking water, and/or undergoes a marked shift in its ability to support its constituent biotic communities, such as fish. Natural phenomena such as volcanoes, algae blooms, storms, and earthquakes also cause major changes in water quality and the ecological status of water.
In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore water pollution and water quality. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Domestic and industrial waste water
-
Organic content in water
-
Chemical oxygen demand
-
Water pollution control
-
Water environment protection
-
Water quality testing and monitoring
-
Water quality safety regulations
-
Sanitary standard for drinking water
-
Sewage discharge standard
-
Water and soil erosion
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly note that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title should be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Water Pollution and Water Quality” should be selected during your submission.
