Special Issue on Maize Research
Maize, often called corn, is a large grain plant domesticated by indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica in prehistoric times. Then, maize spread to the rest of the world for its ability to grow in diverse climates. Maize is an important model organism for genetics and developmental biology just like Arabidopsis thaliana in the plant. And for one of the most important staple food in the world, many efforts have been made to enhance the qualities and yields in this plant.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring Maize Research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Grain plant
-
Corn genome
-
Corn bio-fuel
-
Human food of corn
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Maize Research” should be chosen during your submission.
