Special Issue on History of Machines and Mechanisms

The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of History of Machines and Mechanisms.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors, preferable those attending HMM2018: the IFToMM International Symposium on History of Machines and Mechanisms, to submit original research and review articles that explore History of Machines and Mechanisms. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Modern reviews of past works
• People, history, and their works
• Direct memories of the recent past
• Historic development theories
• History of the design of machines and mechanisms
• Developments of mechanical design and automation
• Historic development of teaching
• History of schools of engineering
• Education of engineers
• Heritage of mechanical engineering

Authors should read over the journals For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journals Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - History of Machines and Mechanisms” should be selected during your submission.
