Special Issue on Weather and Climatology
Research
Climate can be defined as the multi-year average condition and extreme
situation of the weather (climatic elements) in a certain region of the earth
in a particular period of time, under the interaction of solar radiation and
the subsystems of the climate system. On time scales, weather is the basis for
climate formation. In a narrow sense, climate is defined as "the average
state of the weather". Climatology is a highly applied subject. From
industrial and agricultural production, transportation, communications, energy,
military and human activities, all have a close relationship with climate. As
climate affects all aspects of human life and production, rational utilization
of climate resources, effective prevention and control of climate disasters
have become an important issue.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring weather and climatology research.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Climate dynamics
-
Agricultural
and forest climatology
-
Seasonal
climate forecast
-
Climate risk
and vulnerability
-
Climate
impacts
-
Synoptic
climatology
-
Climate
distribution
-
Extreme
climate and weather change
-
Climate and
air pollution
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Weather and
Climatology Research” should be chosen during your submission.
