Special
Issue on Silviculture
Silviculture is the study of the
development, structure and function of forests and seeks how to cultivate,
manage, protect and utilize them. The aim of silviculture is to
clarify the basic rules of forests formation, growth and development, to understand
the intrinsic mechanism of forest tree production and its relationship with the
environment, and clarify the relationship between forest structure and forest
life. More crucially, silviculture is also used to study how to solve the
important issues faced in forestry production, such as rapid recovery of forest
resources, effective utilization of wood resources, enhance
forest resilience to natural disasters, etc.
In
this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to
submit original researches and review articles on exploring silviculture. Potential topics include,
but are not limited to:
-
The basic principles of forest tending
-
Forest seedlings cultivation
-
Forest construction
-
Forest tending and harvesting
-
Planning and
design of forest landscapes
-
Forestry ecological engineering
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Silviculture”
should be chosen during your submission.
