Special Issue on Gene Expression

Gene expression is the Key process that governs the transformation of genetic information stored in the DNA sequence into biologically active protein molecules through the transcription and translation during the cell’s life cycle. In addition to assume the production of proteins and enzymes required for basic in vivo functions, many genes are differentially expressed to ensure cell differentiation and genetic adaptation to environmental or physiopathologic changes. The key features of gene expression regulation include transcription factors, chromatin remodeling and regulatory RNA. The gene-regulatory network results in expressing certain gene and keeping others silent and leads to cell differentiation and/or adaptation.

In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Gene expression. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  •        Selective expression of genes
  •        Factors affect gene expression
  •        Transcription and translation process
  •        Suppression of gene expression
  •        Gene expression and genetic disorders
  •        Gene therapy
  •        Chemicals in gene expression
  •        Controlled gene expression

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at Authors' Guidelines. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at Paper Submission System according to the following table:
