Special Issue on Neuropathology
Neuropathology is the study of central and peripheral nervous tissue in adults and children. The primary concern is the diagnosis of brain tumours, and neuropathologists are often able to give a preliminary diagnosis to the neurosurgeon while the patient is still on the operating table. Opinions, involving interpretation of special stains and molecular tests, will guide other members of the multidisciplinary team when deciding upon treatment strategies. Most work is on the living, but neuropathologists are also responsible for post-mortem brain analysis, for example to categorise forms of dementia, investigate possible genetic conditions, and assess trauma. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of neuropathology.
In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore neuropathology. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
The causes of nervous system diseases
-
Vascular disease of the nervous system
-
The nervous system of infectious diseases
-
Neurosurgery
-
-
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Neuropathology” should be selected during your submission.
