    Special Issue on Artemisinin

Artemisinin, and its semi-synthetic derivatives are a group of drugs that possess the most rapid action of all current drugs against Plasmodium falciparum malaria. Treatments containing an artemisinin derivative (artemisinin-combination therapies, ACTs) are now standard treatment worldwide for P. falciparum malaria.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring artemisinin. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Structure characteristics and identification
    • Medical use
    • Mechanism of action
    • Artemisinin derivatives
    • Biosynthesis of artemisinin
    • Chemical synthesis

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Artemisinin” should be selected during your submission.
