Special Issue on Mycoplasma

Mycoplasma is a genus of bacteria that lack a cell wall around their cell membrane. Mycoplasma species are the smallest bacterial cells yet discovered, can survive without oxygen, and are typically about 0.1 micrometre in diameter. Hundreds of mycoplasmae infect animals. Several species are pathogenic in humans, including M. pneumoniae, which is an important cause of atypical pneumonia and other respiratory disorders.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring mycoplasma. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cell culture mycoplasmas
  • Molecular genetics
  • Mycoplasma infections
  • Pathogenesis
  • Mycoplasma arthritis
  • Avian mycoplasmas
  • Phytoplasmas
  • Mycoplasmas and ureaplasmas

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Mycoplasma” should be selected during your submission.
