Special Issue on Deposit Geology Research
Deposition is the geological process by which sediments, soil, and rocks are added to a landform or land mass. Geologists are always searching for more ore deposits to meet constant demand. This has become more difficult with time as easily accessible ore deposits close to the Earth's surface have already been exploited by humans in the past. Therefore, more complex techniques have been developed to locate new deposits. However, better and more efficient processing techniques now mean that we can exploit ore deposits which were previously uneconomic. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of deposit geology research.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring deposit geology research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Deposition of non-cohesive sediments
-
Deposition of cohesive sediments
-
Geology of uranium deposits
-
Unconformity-related deposits
-
Hematite breccia complex deposits
-
Sandstone deposits
-
Quartz-pebble conglomerate deposits
-
Surficial deposits
-
Volcanic and caldera-related deposits
-
Fossil fuel deposits
-
Metallic deposits
-
Oxidised zones of ore deposits
-
Sedimentary iron ore and manganese deposits
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Deposit Geology Research” should be chosen during your submission.
