Special Issue on Aromatic Compounds

Aromatic compounds, also known as arenes or aromatics, widely exist in nature. Typical aromatic compounds are benzene and toluene. Benzene ring is the most widely distributed chemical unit in nature. Currently, millions of tons of aromatic compounds (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, styrene) are manufactured per year. These compounds are widely used for fuel and industrial solvents. They and polycyclic aromatic compounds, chlorinated biphenyl are raw materials in the production of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, plastic polymers, explosives, and other daily necessities.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Aromatic Compounds. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Natural and synthetic aromatic compounds
• Stability and degradation of aromatic compounds
• Synthesis and characterization of aromatic compounds
• Applications of aromatic compounds
• Environmental and health effects of aromatic compounds
• Aromatic compound reactions (substitution, Hydrogenation, Coupling reactions, etc.)

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Aromatic Compounds” should be selected during your submission.
