Special Issue on Wetland Ecology and Management

Wetlands are areas where water is the primary factor controlling the environment and the associated plant and animal life. Wetlands are an important source for both biodiversity and various products, including wildlife. Their great socio-economical value has been recognized relatively recently. Wetlands are also among the most degraded of all ecosystems, as they have been in intensive human use for a very long time. European wetlands have also lacked for centuries one of their essential modifier agent, the beaver. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of wetland ecology and management.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore wetland ecology and management. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Wetland productivity
• Wetland values and functions
• Fisheries and wildlife value
• Marshes and swamps
• Rivers and streams
• Marine and estuarine wetlands
• Species interactions in wetlands

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Wetland Ecology and Management” should be selected during your submission.
