Special Issue on Waste Treatment

Waste is a waste type consisting of everyday items that are discarded by the public. The municipal solid waste industry has four components: recycling, composting, landfilling, and waste-to-energy via incineration. The primary steps are generation, collection, sorting and separation, transfer, and disposal. Activities in which materials are identified as no longer being of value and are either thrown out or gathered together for disposal. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of waste treatment.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore waste treatment. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Municipal solid waste
• Components of solid waste management
• Waste handling and separation
• Separation and processing and transformation of solid wastes
• Transfer and transport
• Energy generation

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
