Special Issue on Plant Pathology
Plant pathology refers to plant diseases caused by
pathogens or environmental conditions. Organisms that can
cause infectious diseases include fungi, bacteria, virus and so on. Fungal
pathogens can extract nutrients from the hosts or even make them die. Bacterial
pathogens have some major factors such as cell wall-degrading enzymes, toxins, phytohormones
and so on. While plant virus causes crop yield loss, and some cases are even
asymptomatic. As plants have a close relationship with our daily life, further study
on plant pathology seems necessary
and significant.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring plant pathology.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Types and characteristics of plant pathogens
-
Environmental conditions and plant pathology
-
Pathogenic infection methods (toxin, enzyme, etc.)
-
Physiological plant disorders
-
Plant disease epidemiology
-
Plant disease resistance
-
Pest control methods
-
Management and regulation
-
Limitations and problems
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Plant Pathology” should be chosen during your submission.
