Special Issue on
Advances in Gastric Cancer Research
Stomach
cancer is the fourth most common cancer worldwide with 930,000 cases
diagnosed in 2002. Gastric cancer refers to cancer arising from epithelium of
the stomach. In the early stages, you may have very few symptoms, while in more
advanced cancer you may have blood in the stool, vomiting, weight loss and stomach
pain. Surgery remains the only curative therapy for
stomach cancer and radiation therapy is an adjuvant to chemotherapy and surgery. As stomach cancer has caused large numbers of people to die, further study for effective
therapy seems necessary and significant.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring advances in gastric cancer research.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Signs and symptoms
-
Causes of gastric cancer
-
Precaution and diagnosis
-
Prevention and treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation)
-
Diet and life style
-
Epidemiology and lethality
-
Limitation and problems
-
Cases of therapy
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
