Special Issue on
Microbial Enzyme: Applications
in Industry and Bioengineering
Microbial enzymes are biocatalysts produced by living cells to bring about specific
biochemical reactions generally forming parts of the metabolic processes of the
cells. Most enzymes which purified in
nature are proteins, while a small part is DNA or RNA. As they’re ecologically
correct, have a high specificity, selectivity, and have a wide diversity of
reactions, microbial enzymes have been widely used in industry and bioengineering.
We can see their outstanding performance in food, medicine, bioreaction and so
on. As microbial enzymes have played
an increasingly important role in our human life, they are of great interest and
value to researchers worldwide.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring microbial enzyme: applications in industry
and bioengineering. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Sources of microbial enzymes
-
Types and characteristics of microbial enzymes
-
Production of microbial enzymes
-
Culture methods of microbial enzymes
-
Separation and purification methods
-
Application of microbial enzymes
-
Enzyme reaction
-
Enzymatic biotransformations
-
Limitation and problems of microbial enzymes
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Microbial
Enzyme: Applications in Industry and Bioengineering” should be chosen during your submission.
