Method for Estimation of Na2O and K2O in Ores, Fluxes, Coal and Coke Ash by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectroscopy

Abstract

A method for the estimation of Na2O and K2O in the feed materials of sinter plants and blast furnaces, intermediate products like sinter, slag generated in steel plants, using Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission spectrometer is developed. Superiority of this method compared to the conventional techniques with respect to accuracy and repeatability is illustrated. Validation of this method is ascertained by carrying out tests with certified reference materials.
