Special Issue on Microbial Biodegradation

Microbial Biodegradation is the use of bioremediation and biotransformation methods to harness the naturally occurring ability of microbial xenobiotic metabolism to degrade, transform or accumulate environmental pollutants, including hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), heterocyclic compounds, pharmaceutical substances, radionuclides and metals.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring microbial biodegradation. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Aerobic biodegradation of pollutants
• Anaerobic biodegradation of pollutants
• Bioavailability, chemotaxis, and transport of pollutants
• Oil biodegradation
• Cholesterol biodegradation
• Analysis of waste biotreatment
• Metabolic engineering and biocatalytic applications
• Fungal biodegradation

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Microbial Biodegradation” should be selected during your submission.
