ABSTRACT: The primary diseases affecting Zingiberaceae plants include ginger
plague, spot blotch, anthracnose, leaf spot, leaf blight, and soft rot. Insect
pests that pose a threat to these plants encompass root-knot nematode disease,
drilling bugs, beet nightshade moths, mesquite, thrips, and aphids. This
article aims to summarize the defining features of the principal pests and
diseases as well as their control methods. The intention is to offer
theoretical support for the preservation of ginger plants.
