ABSTRACT: Pediatric inflammatory
multisystem syndrome PIMS is a new entity of systemic inflammatory
disease in children that appeared in the epidemic context of COVID-19 infection in April 2020.
The pathophysiological mechanisms of PIMS are poorly understood and the
hypothesis of a maladaptive hyperactive immune response, notably involving
cytokines, is described in the literature. In our study, we report our
experience regarding the clinical presentation, diagnosis, management and
outcome of patients who presented with pediatric inflammatory multisystem syndrome post COVID-19.
