ABSTRACT: Although
several studies have analyzed how entrepreneurial capability and cultural
diversity affect SME performance, this study aims to demonstrate the effect of
a range of entrepreneurial capabilities and cultural diversity on small and
medium-sized enterprises (SME) performance.
The study involved the analysis of 200 questionnaire-based SME owner-manager
surveys within Kumasi metropolis, Ghana, influenced by the Partial Least
Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The study found that
there is a significant positive correlation between cultural diversity and
entrepreneurial capability, cultural diversity and SME performance,
entrepreneurial capabilities and SME performance. These findings contribute to
an empirical study comparing entrepreneurial capability and cultural diversity
on Ghanaian SME performance. Further recommendations are made for SME managers,
policy makers and future researchers.
