Economic growth and consumption are closely linked, residents consumption is the important segment of social reproduction, consumption scale and structure to upgrade is pulling the long-term a major driving force of economic growth. In order to promote Guizhou province economic growth, need to study the resident consumption and economic growth relationship. In this paper, according to the Guizhou province data from 1987 to 2010, chose GDP, fiscal expenditure, urban and rural residents per capita consumption expenditure of four factors, the use of software Eviews regression model parameters testing, and the use of stepwise regression model, the conclusion shows that, the rapid development of Guizhou Province economy is inseparable from consumption, major factors affecting GDP is financial expenditure and town dweller average per capita consumption expenditure. On this foundation, put forward to promote sustained economic growth and the countermeasures.
