Abstract: |
With the reform and opening up, China's iron and steel industry has experienced a rapid development. Basing on the theory of SCP, using China's 1997-2009 datas, this paper analyses market structure of China's iron and steel industry, concluding that the market concentration is low, barriers to entry and exit appear high, economies of scale is weak, which lead to market structure of China's steel industry not reasonable. To this end, this paper presents relevant policy recommendations, with a view to further improving market structure of China's iron and steel industry.
