Abstract: In the current packaging process industry of Concentrator Photovoltaic (CPV) solar cell mostly rely on engineers with experience through trial and error to find the right combination of parameters, not only a waste of time, effort and cost. This study proposes a two-stage optimization of the system, for multiple quality characteristics of solar cells packaged product, the parameter optimization studies. First we use Taguchi and back-propagation neural network (BPNN established S/N ratio predictor in combination with genetic algorithms (GA), so that the quality characteristics of S/N ratio to maximize in order to reduce process variation. The next step is build quality predictor algorithm combined with particle swarm optimization (PSO) quality characteristics to meet the target requirements. The results show that not only effective to reduce process variation and product quality to meet the quality objectives, while effectively streamlining the number of experiments, reducing cost and waste of time.
