Title: Empirical Analysis to the Evolution of China's Auto Consumption Policy and Its Implementation Effect

Abstract: Based upon the description of the evolution of China's auto consumption policy, the paper analyzed the policy’s influence factors and the mechanism of the effect to the auto consumption. Quantitative analysis shows that the auto policy on urban households auto ownership influence is significant, but for different income levels the family auto consumption influence strength has a bigger difference. Prediction results show that by 2015 per 100 urban households average ownership of the auto quantity will reach 23, family auto ownership gap of different income levels far outweigh the gap between the per capita disposable incomes. In order to guarantee the reasonable consumption of family auto, the paper proposed to issue new "auto consumption policy".
