Title: Lottery Forecasting Based on Entropy Method and Genetic Algorithm

Abstract: According to an analysis of the historical data of the sports lottery (a lottery which chooses 7 number from 33 numbers), we established a model based on Genetic Algorithm to forecast the next winning sequence. We analyzed the characters of short-term, mid-term, long-term historical data and the numerical characters of winning sequences. Then we used Entropy Method to fix on the weights of four influencing factors. According to the weights we calculated, we figure out the fitness function for Genetic Algorithm. Above all, we established the model of Entropy Method and Genetic Algorithm. At last, by contrasting the our forecasting result with the real winning sequence, we check out the accuracy of our model and compare the proceeds between using the model to bet and stochastic betting, in order to prove the practicability of our model.
