Abstract: Under the guidance of the general process of Data Mining, this paper applied the related technology of SQL Server 2005 to the regional economic and social development work of local government. With referrence to the main indicators of economic and social development data in cities of Henan Province in 2009, it made a systematic classification in terms of different economic development level of each city and pointed out their economic statuses. Finally it also offered some suggestions on the economic development of these cities.
