Abstract: The safety performance of Metro vehicles bogie is crucial to the subway operation. In order to evaluate the safety performance of metro vehicle bogies scientifically and find out the weak points in safety timely, a bogie of Metro vehicles was fallen into three parts, include system class, subsystem class and part class according to its physical structure. based on the investigation and the analysis to the Failure Mode of the bogie, the index system of failure modes and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for the bogie safety were built for providing the reference to improvement of the safety performance of subway. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for bogie safety performance presented in this paper was used in B style Metro vehicles to verify its performance. The evaluation results showed that the weak points are wheelsets and axle boxes, wheel and axle, Side Beam, differential pressure valve, centre pin, draw bar, brake pull, drive gear, etc. the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for the subway safety performance was of good practicability in timely finding the hidden fault in safety and giving assistance of working out the preventive measures for the safety.
