Title: Ecological Policy and Rural Households’ Energy Choice——Based on the Survey in China

Abstract: The relationship between ecological environment policy and rural households’’ energy choice is being explored. This study provides additional insight by considering the income structure and the energy structure of rural households under the background of labor out-migration in western China. The research was conducted in Ankang city inShaanxi Province,China. Through questionnaire survey, 1085 rural households’ detailed information about their livelihoods was obtained. Results shows: Ecological policy push labor of households leave land work to wage job; and participating ecological environment policies rural households are likely to choose electricity or gas as their cooking energy, meaning the livelihood has already started to transform from traditional livelihood to modern livelihood.
