Applying the self-made questionnaire to investigate 560 college students from 5 universities and colleges in Henanprovince, aiming at understanding the cognition Status of college students’ self-employment. The result shows that the nearly ninety percent of college students have their own interest in self-employment, the main motivation for self-employment is challenging themselves, the realization of achievement, But most students are pessimistic for prospects of self-employment;; The main difficulties of self-employment are lack of funds, insufficient knowledge and ability; In universities education about self-employment is in the primary stage; At the same time , the correlation between self-employment and major studied is low, and it is willing to be accepted that starting self-employment while a student in school.
