Abstract: At present management science has integrated a number of theories and technology from many other subjects. Therefore, scholars from either economics-management field or non-economics-management field have made academic contributions for developing the management science. This paper adopts the bibliometric approach to present the statistics of the academic papers from the subject OPERATIONS RESEARCH & MANAGEMENT SCIENCE indexed by SCI. By comparing the output, impact, subjects and journals of the academic papers produced by the economics-management scholars and the non-economics-management scholars separately, their contributions to the management science are analyzed.
