Abstract: Structured finance could be described as referring to the repackaging of cash flows that can transform the risk, return and liquidity characteristics of financial portfolios. Western commercial banks use structured finance in credit risk management broadly and this is a important cause of the global financial crisis. To structured finance, commercial bank should keep rational aptitude, in the meanwhile of insisting on risk management instrument creation, not ignore the traditional credit risk management approaches.
