Abstract: Loess landslide incidents occur frequently, so risk analysis and management of loess landslide are very important. Base on the reliability analysis method of Rosenbleuth, use slope stability analysis method of simplified Bishop, make intensity indexes of loess as the main random variables and consider water infiltration in the top fissure, influence of variability of the intensity indexes (c and φ) on the reliability of the loess slope with different slope ratio(1:0.4,1:0.8 and 1:1.2) is studied. The failure probability and reliability index of loess slope are calculated. After analyzing, the results show that: (1) When variation coefficient of intensity indexes is the same, with the decrease of slope ratio (from1:0.4, 1:0.8 to 1:1.2), reliability index increases and probability of failure decreases. (2) The slope ratio and the variation coefficients of c and φ have an important influence on the reliability and stability of loess slope. Overall, slope ratio has larger influence on the reliability index and the failure probability than the variation coefficients of c and φ have. On this basis, the risk management measures are proposed.
