Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the new trends of business operations which have been developing private brand products in the distribution industry in Western countries and Japan, and to identify the reasons behind the innovation in the distribution industry. We examine the process of development along with the features in different stages, distribution routes, and cost advantages of the private brand products in Western countries andJapan, and further explore the relationship between the development of the distribution industry and economic growth.
