Abstract: Staff demission may lead to losses in enterprises’ human resource cost, thus resulting in productivity impairment. Specifically, demission of the key staff would lead to leakage of core technology or business secret that is vital to enterprises’ survival and sustainable development. In this paper, the causes of staff demission have been fully analyzed in several aspects such as compensation and benefit, career development, enterprises benefit and prospect, interpersonal relationship, enterprise culture and working environment. Moreover, based on the theory of career cycle, the coping strategies for staff demission at individual career stages have been also discussed in detail, which include entering organization stage, initial stage of career and middle stage of career.
