Abstract: Relational data model is based on the theories of relational algebra, division operation is a basic operation of relational algebra. Division operation of relations is a teaching difficulty of relational database. This paper uses the intersection of several sets to express the division operation of relations. Based on this, the division operation of relations can be converted to SQL statement directly. Teaching division operation of relations with the method reduces the teaching difficulty effectively; students can easily understand and master the division operation of relations, and also helps to improve teaching quality.
