Abstract: Radio-over-fiber (ROF), the integration of optical and wireless systems, is a practical solution to increase the capacity and mobility of future-proof contents delivery and serve both fixed and mobile users. But with the increasing of transfer rate and the radio frequency band, dispersion becomes the main factor for the improvement of the system performance. Combining the existing dispersion compensation technology and the characteristics of RoF system, this paper demonstrates a modified scheme to overcome dispersion effect in the electrical field by using adaptive equalizing technology and automatic gain control (AGC) and it is proofed through MATLAB simulation.
