Abstract: Because underground monitoring branch station does not have Ethernet interface, communication rate of mine gas monitoring system is very low, only at 5Kbps. Aiming at the problem, a new scheme of monitoring branch station is proposed, which is based on the S3C2410 chip of Samsung Group. The branch station has interface of industrial Ethernet, USB interface and serial interface. Interface of industrial Ethernet selected DM9000 chip as core, and its communication rate can be reached 100Mbps. USB interface adopted USB controller integrated in S3C2410, it achieved both circuit of USB Host and USB Device. Serial interface adopted MAX3232 chip, and it realized 2 RS232 interface. The experiment results indicate that the new monitoring branch station can be universally used and easily developed with high communication rate.
