Abstract: 3D Scene and Object Reconstruction is a mature topic of research within the computer vision domain, with many approaches developed; however, automatic 3D scene/object modelling based on a small number of photographs has not received the same level of attention. In this paper, we present the basis of a system that can automatically build a 3D scene or object from a sparse photograph set using the ASIFT method. The ASIFT point cloud is extended to a 3D model with the use of Delaunay triangulation and texture mapping coordinates are determined automatically. Additionally, we present a novel development platform for integrated vision and 3D domain problems that is based on freely available APIs.
