Abstract: There was a 7.1 earthquake in yushu qinghai province on april 14 2010, after that there were a lot of rumors in many cities. One of the reasons is that emergency information publicity was out of time. This paper starts with the adverse effect on emergency management of rumors, then summaries the active role to emergency management of emergency information publicity, finally analyzes the methods of emergency information publicity, which will quench interpretation disabuse for public and effectivily communicate with public. Emergency information publicity will promote the fast and well development of emergency management in China.
