Abstract: To seek optimum pattern of eco-industrial parks to utilize resources and energy sources best and realize sustainable development, the dynamic law on the formation and evolution of eco-industrial pattern was discussed based on non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. The impacts of industrial symbiosis resulted from the ex-change of material and energy on the structure of eco-industrial systems were analyzed by invoking self-organization competition. It is further demonstrated that the change of the system pattern could be predicted by adjusting the symbiosis relationship of the enterprises. Charles eco-industrial park was then studied as a typical example for numerical simulation and network structural analyses. The results showed that with the development of the system, the utilization of materials and energy will be more reasonable and value which indicates the eco-industrial pattern will be larger.
