Abstract: The rise of the Internet has made it possible to prevent and control the abuse of public power online. This essentially involves putting the prevention and control of corruption online, which has the advantages of involving the whole population and being well integrated. At present, anti-corruption work on the Internet mainly involves establishing portals, Report Centers and department blogs on the Internet, developing online anti-corruption games, manpower searches, making use of online onlookers, and getting the whole population involved. What makes this approach to anti-corruption work possible is that it can make use of existing physical platforms and implementation mechanisms. Therefore, using the Internet to prevent and control the abuse of public power has strengthened anti-corruption mechanisms and been helpful for intensifying anti-corruption work; it can also expand public participation, establish closer ties between the government and citizens stimulate the government to change its ways of thinking and help to enhance the government’s credibility with the public.
